What will we learn on our pilgrimage to Uganda?
Our pilgrimage will engage with readings and discussion around three themes:
My Journey
The Journey of Ugandans
The Journey Between Kingdom Outposts
My Journey focuses on the personal faith journey of each participant. We will spend time one our own and in the group discussing questions such as: Where am I in my faith journey? Where do I want to be? How might this trip affect my journey?
The Journey of Ugandans focuses on the faith journey of Ugandans from the earliest days of the Gospel in Uganda up to the present day. We will consider the relevance of these testimonies to our own spiritual journeys and to the witness and ministry of our American churches.
The Journey Between Kingdom Outposts will consider what ongoing connections we want to foster between ourselves, our group, or Church and the Ugandan people and institutions we have engaged on this pilgrimage. Specifically, we will discuss how ongoing relationship between our US Kingdom Outpost and the Kingdom Outposts in Uganda can be mutually beneficial and mutually encouraging of ministry and work of both Outposts.
