Objectives
The Visiting Fellowship Program seeks to:
- Provide expert teaching and mentorship in postgraduate programs in Social Work, Development Studies, Counseling Psychology, Child Development, International Relations, Governance, Public Administration, and Public Policy.
- Facilitate collaboration on curriculum development, research, and policy-oriented projects with UCU faculty.
- Enhance global perspectives among UCU students while promoting the values of Christian service, ethical leadership, and social responsibility.
- Establish long-term institutional partnerships between UCU and participating universities.
Methods & Length of Engagement
Online is the assumed mode of engagement due to the lower financial and logistical hurdles. This can include online lectures, seminars, mentorship sessions, and/or research supervision.
On-Campus Engagement is also welcome for those who are able and interested in traveling to Uganda. UCU will facilitate housing and integration into campus life. In-person engagement can range from a week or so to a full academic year.
Semester- or Year-Long Fellowship (4-8 months): Teaching and mentoring within a specific semester.
- Spring Semester: January to May
- Summer Semester: May to August
- Fall Semester: August to December
Guest Lecturer/Speaker (1-4 weeks): Leading lectures or workshops on specialized topics.
Policy & Technical Fellowship (flexible, project-based): Engagement in curriculum advising, policy development, or research consultation.
